Los ANGELES CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT, SHERMAN OAKS, CA

The LA Fire Department needed to protect their high value heavy equipment. Their specialized FEMA truck and tractor-trailer units had been sitting in the elements, exposing the sensitive electronics on board and degrading the value of their assets. As they operate on leased land, they didn’t want a permanent structure that would be expensive and time-consuming to build, impossible to move and require a lengthy permitting process. To house their Cat D8 and their other machinery, we put up back-to-back 40x40 double truss canopies in order to create the necessary depth. We then installed our biggest canopy structure yet … a massive 60'x120' shelter for their emergency vehicles. The idea was for them to keep their largest and most expensive Disaster Response Equipment in tip top shape. The mandate is to have their equipment at the ready 24/7 365 days of the year. Our canopies responded to the call!

WESTERN MILLING, VISALIA CA

Western Milling is a grain milling facility that supplies grain for gluten- and allergen-free foods, seeds and fertilizers, animal feeds and pet food. Installing ten 40x40 single truss canopies has improved their operational efficiency by having automatic cover for their grain. Having back walls running down the spine of the canopy facility enables their delivery trucks to efficiently load and unload the grain.

FUJI OIL, NEW ORLEANS LA

This 40x40 Double Truss canopy was installed for the Fuji Oil engineering and maintenance crew as a storage and workshop area. The containers were ideal for storing their tools and materials and the roll-up doors provided easy access.

WARRIORS HEART, BANDERA TX

Warriors Heart is an addiction and PTSD treatment center for active military, veterans and first responders. Ranch owner Mario Chavez installed a 40x40 ST canopy to provide a cooler setting for the riders and horses. After wetting down the sand, it is 15 degrees cooler under the canopy on a hot day.

ALL STAR STORAGE, APACHE JUNCTION AZ

All Star Storage and Containers needed an open air solution that would protect custom builds from weather, as well as provide shade for employees and customers.  The portable design allows the canopies to be moved as the layout of the yard changes with the addition of more fabrication bays.  Currently they have over 18,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing area covered by the canopies and want to add more.

DPR CONSTRUCTION, MIAMI FL

This 40x40 Single Truss canopy forms part of a construction complex during the building of a cancer hospital.

Many construction firms are using Container Canopies on their construction sites. They are usually placed at sites that have a completion date of six months or longer.

Skanska is a world leading project development and construction group, tasked with constructing five buildings for a large corporate client in the El Mirage area. They needed to ensure the health and safety of their construction teams during their breaks in the hot Arizona sun. The canopies also proved to be ideal for social distancing in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Canopies have proven to be an excellent solution for our construction teams during their breaks. They provide shade while still allowing cross air flow. When the end walls are installed there will be protection from the wind.

Harrison Western, Fort Collins CO

harrison weston 1.jpg

Harrison Western specializes in civil construction, including major infrastructure buildouts, underground mine development and tunnel remediation. They had to refurbish a water tunnel in the middle of winter that was originally built in 1908 in a remote location in Colorado. It was imperative for Harrison Western that they had a sheltered workshop area to ensure the health and safety of their team in the harshest of climatic conditions.

In such an extreme and remote mountain location, the canopy was a godsend. We placed a concrete pad and put up a 40’ double truss. The great thing is that we can move the canopy to our next worksite once we’ve completed the tunnel rehabilitation.

Cryoquip, Temecula CA

cryoquip 1.JPG

Cryoquip manufactures and sandblasts cryogenic heat exchange equipment. In order to etch the cases, their contractors had been working outdoors in 100° heat to sandblast the 15’ diameter pipe. The canopy made a huge difference to their working conditions and enabled them to work comfortably in a shaded workshop environment.

The added benefit of the canopy was not having to re-dress work that had been done the day before. Each time the sandblasted pieces were left outside, dew settled on the steel overnight and required duplication of the work done the previous day before a coating could be applied. Since then, Cryoquip’s production efficiency increased ten-fold!

After working in the extreme heat and sun for half a day, our contractors were going off sick. We knew we needed to find a solution that looked after the health and safety of our team … and our company! The canopy has made a huge difference to our workflow and productivity. We’ve now installed three canopies and we’ve never looked back.

DeWald Inc, Sacramento CA

DeWald_1.jpg

Brian DeWald runs a truck assembly and repair company in West Sacramento and needed to get a workshop organised for his truck mechanics who had been working outdoors. He also didn’t want to invest in a permanent building because he was operating on leased land and needed the flexibility to move the workshop elsewhere to allow for future expansion. The canopy proved to be a quick and cost effective outcome that improved working conditions immensely.

Our canopy has changed our business. Our mechanics now work in a dry, covered area and we can also store our parts in and on top of our containers.

The Estrella Warbirds Museum is an aviation museum located at Paso Robles Airport and is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of military aircraft, vehicles and memorabilia. The canopy enables us to keep aircraft parts and vehicles out of the sun, wind and rain. It only took our guys two days to get the canopy up with the help of the Container Canopies team. It’s been so useful that we’re now looking at getting a 60’ canopy up to refurbish our aircraft .
