Cryoquip manufactures and sandblasts cryogenic heat exchange equipment. In order to etch the cases, their contractors had been working outdoors in 100° heat to sandblast the 15’ diameter pipe. The canopy made a huge difference to their working conditions and enabled them to work comfortably in a shaded workshop environment.
The added benefit of the canopy was not having to re-dress work that had been done the day before. Each time the sandblasted pieces were left outside, dew settled on the steel overnight and required duplication of the work done the previous day before a coating could be applied. Since then, Cryoquip’s production efficiency increased ten-fold!
