Los Angeles City Fire Department, Sherman Oaks, CA

The LA Fire Department needed to protect their high value heavy equipment. Their specialized FEMA truck and tractor-trailer units had been sitting in the elements, exposing the sensitive electronics on board and degrading the value of their assets. As they operate on leased land, they didn’t want a permanent structure that would be expensive and time-consuming to build, impossible to move and require a lengthy permitting process. To house their Cat D8 and their other machinery, we put up back-to-back 40×40 double truss canopies in order to create the necessary depth. We then installed our biggest canopy structure yet … a massive 60’x120′ shelter for their emergency vehicles. The idea was for them to keep their largest and most expensive Disaster Response Equipment in tip top shape. The mandate is to have their equipment at the ready 24/7 365 days of the year. Our canopies responded to the call!

Our two 40′ x 80′ canopies serve a dual purpose for us – to protect our Cat D8 and other heavy equipement and to operate as a workspace out of the weather. The size and construction quality is incredible and I continue to recieve calls from others that have observed the finished product and have a need for a canopy as well. I look forward to our next purchase in the future.
